About Gobi Manchurian recipe

Gobi manchurian is an Indo Chinese appetizer made by tossing crispy cauliflower fritters in soya sauce, chilli sauce & tomato sauce.  A popular cauliflower snack from Bangalore restaurants.  Easy to make at home with  a few simple ingredients.

Gobi Manchurian Ingredients

Cauliflower/Phul Gobi, Cornflour, Maida, Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce, Tomato Sauce, Ginger, Garlic, Spring Onion, Green Chillies, Onion, Green Capsicum, Red Chilli Powder,Pepper, Salt & Vegetable Oil.

Preparation

Wash & cut the cauliflower into small florets. Blanch with water & salt. Discard the water & mix it with ginger-garlic paste, salt & pepper. Keep aside.

Making Gobi Manchurian

Manchurian Batter

In a mixing bowl, take cornflour, maida, salt, & red chilli powder, Mix it well.  Gradually mix water and make a smooth batter.

How To Fry Cauliflower

Heat a pan with a generous amount of oil.  Once oil is hot, dip the cauliflower in batter and leave them in oil.  Fry the fritters until golden and crisp.

Manchurian Sauce

In a bowl, add soya sauce, tomato sauce, red chilli sauce and red chilli powder. Mix it well.  Manchurian sauce is ready.

Make Manchurian Gravy

Heat oil, first fry chopped garlic and ginger. Fry Onion, Capsicum & chopped green chillies. Add the sauce mixture into the pan with salt & pepper.

After sautéing in sauce for a minute, add cornflour mixed water. Let the gravy starts boiling and get it thick & slight dry, then add chopped spring onion.

Dry & Crisp Gobi Manchurian 

Immediately put fried cauliflower into the gravy and nicely coat them with the sauce. Turn off the heat. Restaurant style dry & crispy gobi manchurian is ready. Serve it hot for best taste ever.
