This rice pilaf is a continental rice recipe prepared by tossing rice in butter, garlic & herbs with assorted veggies, easy to make at home by following simple steps.
Rinse the rice, soak it in water, drain well & cook it in boiling water along with oil & salt, cook it until 80% done, drain the starch, spread it in a plate.
Heat a pan/wok on medium heat, add butter, fry chopped veggies for few mins, add salt & pepper to spice it up, add chopped garlic & fry until aroma comes from the roasted garlic.
Add the rice in pan, toss it or gently stir it well, add the herbs one by one, gently mix well, fry the rice until combined flavour of butter-garlic & herbs comes from it.
Butter-garlic-herbed flavour vegetable rice pialf is ready. Turn off the heat. Enjoy this continental restaurant style rice pilaf at home.
Best to serve this rice pilaf with any continental side dishes which contains gravy as I served this dish with my chicken in mushroom sauce gravy.
