Easy Aam panna recipe - raw mango drink for summer

About Aam Panna recipe

Make kolkata restaurant style best aam panna at home with raw green mangoes, sugar/jaggery, salt & roasted spices with following simple steps and pictures.

Ingredients of Aam panna 

Raw green mangoes  Sugar(as per taste) Fresh mint leaves or pudina Roasted ground spices(bhaja masala) Black salt,  Regular salt(as required) Chaat masala Water (as per required) Ice cubes(optional)


 Roasted spices(bhaja masala) Cumin seeds Dry red chilli(optional) Whole black pepper

Wash & peel out the mangoes, cut into long slices. Put it into pressure cooker with water, add salt.


Making of Aam Panna

Put the pressure cooker on high flame, make 3-4 whistles. Turn off the heat, Once the cooker cools down, remove the boiled mangoes from it.

Boiled raw mangoes 

Dry roast the cumin seeds, whole pepper, and dry red chilli in low heat. Ground to a fine powder once cool down.

Roasted spices/bhaja masala

Take a blender jar, add boiled mangoes, a handful of mint leaves(pudina), roasted ground spices, black salt, chaat masala, regular salt, sugar & little chilled water.

Blend it well

Aam panna is ready

Blend it well until get a smooth puree or paste. Add more water & ice cubes, even add more salt & sugar as per taste. Again blend it well & creamy, juicy, delicious Aam panna is ready.

How to serve aam panna

Best to serve aam panna aka mango panna with ice cubes, garnish with mint leaves, by sprinkling roasted ground spice over the drink.
