Today I will show you, some simple steps to cut it easily & how to store it for 4-5 days.
All the Bengali jackfruit recipes, like Echor er dalna, echorer kofta, echorer dal, and even echor er Dhoka very common in my mom’s kitchen. She easily cut raw jackfruit/echor in boti(not a knife). As then readymade cut echor would not be available in the market. So I learned to cut jackfruit from my mom. Though I cut it in boti & knife both. However, today I cut it with a knife for your convenience.
To cut a raw jackfruit, 3 things are required. 1. A sharp knife or boti, 2. Oil to grease your palms 3. Water
Though except Kolkata, for the last few years, in Bangalore(HAL market), jackfruits are being cut(peeling & cutting into pieces) for selling. So people can directly cook it.
